Polititoe, the daily politics trivia grid

Polititoe is a free daily trivia game about world politics. Every day brings a new 3×3 grid: each row and each column is a category, and every space needs a politician who fits both. A president who was impeached, a prime minister in office during World War II, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate who led a country: how many can you name?

How to play

  • Pick a space and type a name. Search finds presidents, prime ministers, monarchs, ministers, governors and more from every continent.
  • The person must fit both the row and the column. Each person counts once.
  • You have ten guesses for nine spaces. Every guess explains which categories fit.
  • Each stamp shows how widely known that person is, from 0 to 100. Your face value adds them up, and like golf, lower is better: deep picks make a rarer sheet.

What the categories cover

Offices (presidents, prime ministers and chancellors, monarchs, foreign and finance ministers, state governors, big city mayors), countries and continents, political parties, decades and eras from World War I to the Cold War, and events such as impeachments, assassinations and the Nobel Peace Prize. Monday and Tuesday grids use famous leaders, and the Sunday grid rewards real political history buffs.

Questions

Is Polititoe free?
Yes. No account, no sign-up. Results and streaks stay in your browser.
When is there a new grid?
Every day at midnight in your time zone. Monday and Tuesday grids are the easiest and Sunday’s the hardest. A few times a year, on an anniversary, a special issue takes a category or two from the date. Past grids stay playable in the archive calendar.
Where do the answers come from?
Every category is a verifiable fact from Wikidata, covering officeholders worldwide since 1900. No category reflects an opinion about anyone.
